Advocates for Children
Advocates for Children is a trusted organization made up of skilled professionals and compassionate volunteers dedicated to the safety, well-being, and empowerment of children, youth, and families. Through comprehensive advocacy and a wide range of supportive services, Advocates for Children helps create stronger, healthier communities throughout Northwest Georgia.

Allatoona Resource Center
The Allatoona Resource Center (ARC) partners with the South Bartow community to deliver essential direct services to residents across Bartow County. Beyond meeting immediate needs, ARC acts as a vital hub for information and referrals, connecting individuals and families with a wide range of programs and support offered by partner agencies.

American Red CrossThe American Red Cross is dedicated to preventing and alleviating human suffering during emergencies by harnessing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Their mission is to bring hope, relief, and support when it's needed most.

Reading to Go PlacesReading to Go Places (The BookMobile) unites partners from across the community to support early literacy initiatives that improve reading outcomes for children ages 0 to 8. Tranquility House Domestic Violence Center
Since 1985, Tranquility House Domestic Violence Center in Cartersville has been a trusted leader in supporting and educating victims of abuse, their families, and the broader community. With a dedicated staff and a committed Board of Directors, Tranquility House offers specialized services that provide safety, support, and hope to those impacted by domestic violence.
In 2025, through the support of the United Way Community Impact Grant, we proudly partnered with Tranquility House to help advance their mission. Their services include a secure emergency shelter for women and children, a 24-hour crisis hotline, and vital outreach efforts to raise awareness about domestic violence throughout the community.

Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter is dedicated to providing temporary shelter and compassionate support to men, women, and families experiencing homelessness. With a caring and committed staff, the shelter helps guests set and achieve personal goals—offering physical, emotional, and spiritual guidance to aid their journey toward stability and independence.

Everyone deserves a place to call home—but for some, especially men with intellectual disabilities, finding a safe and supportive environment can be challenging. That’s why Hickory Log Personal Care Home exists: to offer a caring, stable home where residents can live with dignity, comfort, and purpose.
Located in Bartow County, Hickory Log is a personal care home that provides its residents with job training, vocational skills, meals, shelter, medical care, and financial guidance. United Way of Bartow County is proud to partner with Hickory Log, providing a 2025 Community Impact Grant through our Healthy Community initiative to support recreational opportunities and overall well-being for the gentlemen who call Hickory Log home. |
North Bartow Community Services has been a vital source of support for individuals and families in need since October 1984. As a non-profit organization, they are committed to extending a helping hand to residents throughout the northern region of Bartow County, including the communities of Adairsville, Kingston, White, Rydal, Pine Log, and Fairmount.
